Who Am I?
Hello!
My name is Lucas or Stjarna! (Shar-nah). I am a 21 year old with a big passion for music!
The name Stjarna stems from my swedish heritage! I am 2/3rds british and 1/3rd swedish. The word Stjarna translates in english to Star.
My name, Lucas, in latin translates to bringer of light. I love the symbolism of stars and lights hence why I chose Stjarna as my artist name!
I am born and raised in the south east of England where I am also currently attending university, studying digital media.
My passion for music started just after leaving secondary school during COVID-19 when I was around 16/17 years old. i started out making beats on garageBand on my iPad.
Whilst I was at university I wrote a LOT of music, I made 300+ songs in 2 years on Serato Studio and Bandlab. Regardless I always felt like something was missing from the songs, this is when I delved into FL Studio.
I've always had a passion for music and I cannot wait for you to hear what I have in store.

Musical Talent
When I was younger, I owned a rhythm guitar but I never played it. Years later when I was 18 I invested in a ukulele and learnt a couple of songs. I implemented some basic chords into some of my own music. but these songs never made it to any streaming services.
About a year later I gave up with the ukulele and got an electric guitar for christmas the following year. You can see it in the image on the right. I'm still learning and mastering the chords and musical theory, as it's a lot more complicated than a ukulele.
I still stick to my roots with digital beat creation. I amalgamate all four of the softwares I've learnt. Bandlab is great as it has 10,000+ samples to use in songs, GarageBand is great as it allows me to play nearly any instrument digitally. Serato Studio is good for disco and dance beats. Then FL Studio is the real deal for vocals and digital chord building.
I would like to learn the keyboard next as I think it's a very adaptable instrument, I believe it can weave its way into almost every genre, and especially the genres I lean towards.

Passion
When it comes to the passion behind the music I love storytelling throughout a song. Having the first verse tell the build up of a story that reaches the first chorus which acts as the outcome. Then the second verse acts as an afterthought, with the final chorus remaining the same with some extra vocals to emphasise the story.
My main vocal layer is very clear with a small amount of autotune reverb, paired with a quieter second layer that acts as a doubler (it sounds like singing into a Pringles can). For background vocals I really like cosmic, reverb and echoey vocals, as it sets an eerie tone which is typically what most of my songs have the feel of.
I am also a big fan of photography and have my own Canon 450D. On the right are some examples of photography I have done for album covers of my music, with a bit of editing in Photoshop and Canva they turn out quite nicely. I really try to take photos that resemble the song as closely as possible, I do this to help dictate the vibe of the music as the average listener would never of heard of my songs before.
